General Information
The center offers a variety of workshops every day of the week during the college business hours. Most workshops are small and individualized to fit specific needs of the participants and their students. Many workshops are offered several times each semester in different days/times so that faculty can comfortably find a workshop session that fits their schedule.

Some of the workshops are also available virtually on the Web and faculty can take those at their own pace. All on-campus workshops grant participants FLEX credit.

All our instructional technology workshops are student-centered and product-oriented and aimed at supporting LBCC faculty in integrating technology into their curricula so it meaningfully contributes to student success. This includes using instructional technology to assist students achieve their course SLOs, acquire basic skills, develop higher order thinking skills, such as critical thinking, and apply their learning outside the immediate curricular topics. Upon completion, you can expect to pilot a student activity in your class, using what you have learned or designed during the workshop.

Additional workshops address technology survival skills, technology-mediated tools available at LBCC to support class administration, and legal compliance matters faculty members need to be aware of as they develop instructional technology material for their classes.
