CCC Confer: http://cccconfer.org

CCC Confer is a non-profit e-Conferencing service that allows California Community College colleagues to meet and collaborate over the Web. It is also used by faculty for collaboration in Distance Learning courses: for synchronous instructional sessions, virtual office hours, etc.

The remote sessions require a phone connection (toll-free number), if you wish to add your comments to the proceedings by voice. It is easier to participate with a hands-free speakerphone or with headphones.

PRESENTING

If you wish to present with CCC Confer, you MUST plan ahead, by going to the CCC Confer site, setting up your account, and making sure your computer is ready. Go to the “Meetings” tab and choose the “Test Your Computer Readiness” button. You will need a computer with a recently updated Web browser. Help files are below, if you need extra assistance.

You will then need to "order" your CCC Confer session. Click on "Presenter/Faculty Sign Up." Enter the information required and follow the steps requested.

PARTICIPATING

If you wish to participate in a CCC Confer session, you MUST plan ahead, by going to the CCC Confer site and making sure your computer is ready. You do not have to have an account, but it is a good idea to set up one in advance. Go to the “Meetings” tab and choose the “Test Your Computer Readiness” button. About ten or 15 minutes before the session is to start, go to the "Participants / Students Log in" button. Find your session and click on GO.
