Instructional Technology Development Center at FRC, LBCC

e-zteach is an original e-learning and teaching system used in all types of Distance Learning courses offered at Long Beach City College, as well as on-campus Web enhanced courses.

Developed specifically as a student-centered environment, e-zteach© 2004 provides a friendly, easy-to-use interface that focuses on instructional, collaborative and informational student needs. e-zteach©2004 is offered free to all LBCCD instructors to use in their LBCC courses. Training workshops on using e-zteach are offered through the Instructional Technology Development Center (ITDC). If you would like to use this product outside Long Beach City College, please contact the Center's Director, Amit Schitai.

The following features are available for instructors and students through e-zteach:

Information - accessing Orientation packet, course information, and syllabus pages
Calendar - listing assignments and other course related events
e-grades - allowing students to view their current grade at any time during the semester
Individual email links - contacting the instructor and individual students enrolled in class
Student bios - forming a community of learners
Announcements - contacting all students at once
Learning modules - linking to course content, activities, and assignments
Content processors - practices and self-assessments for students to use before taking a graded assignment
Quizzes and tests
Discussion forums and chats - asynchronous and synchronous boards for content analysis, discussion, and office hour
