Analyzing a Bibliographic Record

Library catalogs contain records that include all the necessary information to describe an item, such as a book, an e-book, a video, etc. This record is called a bibliographic record. The bibliographic record tells you whether a library owns a particular item and where you can find it.

In this exercise you will practice analyzing the components of a bibliographic record. When you click on a link below, you will see a sample of bibliographic record from Voyager, the Library's online catalog. You will identify the different parts of the bibliographic record by dragging its components to the corresponding part on the picture.
