"Magic Number 56" Worksheet Part 1
The "Big 3" that a college student must focus on is Class, Study, and Work. College was not created to focus on other life situations unfortunately. Therefore, it is important for you to realize how much time should be devoted to these three critical areas. And how much time they take up in your life.
Click inside the first box to the right of the number of units designator to type in the number. Then, use the TAB key to move from one field to another. When you fill out all the fields, click on Calculate Total button to see the result.

| College demands work be done outside of class time. The national standard is that for every hour in class you should plan on studying (notes, textbook, read, write, homework, test preparation, etc.) at least two (2) hours outside of class. week you will be quite busy, but it is a manageable load If you are significantly above this total, you should re-evaluate your choices and understand that you have committed yourself to such an extent that tough life choices will probably be necessary. This is a good tool to use in the future to determine how to schedule your load. |
