LBCC faculty of all disciplines team up with the staff at the ITDC and take the role of content experts to develop customized technology-based tutorials, practices, simulation and other interactive courseware tailored to their students' needs.

Special Projects and Grants
The Instructional Technology Development Center (ITDC) has been developing a number of grant funded projects working with faculty from various schools at LBCC. ITDC recent projects include the following:
DARE to CARE - Disability Accommodation tRaining Environment, (in collaboration with the DSPS office at LBCC ) funded by FIPSE (Fund for the Improvement of Post-Secondary Education)
CHISPA- Caring for Hispanic Patients interactively (in collaboration with the School of Health and Science), funded by the Center for the Health Professions, UCSF, through grants from the California Endowment and the California Health Care Foundation.
A System Approach to Learning with Technology (SALT) - (in collaboration with the Learning and Academic Resources department), funded by the CCCCO Fund for Student Success and Fund for Instructional Improvement.
Success in Distance Education (S.I.D.E Road) - (in collaboration with the Learning and Academic Resources department), funded by the CCCCO Fund for Student Success.
Faculty Development and Training Opportunities
Workshops & Demonstrations
Every semester, ITDC offers a large variety of workshops for both full and part-time faculty. All workshops and demonstration are free and approved as FLEX credit activities.
All ITDC workshops are student-centered. At the end of each workshops faculty have a product to integrate into their courses and pilot with their students.All workshops are conducted at the Faculty Resource Center and ITDC team is available for one-on-one reinforcement and guidance for faculty to follow up on their workshop activities.
Curriculum Integration of Instructional Technology in On-Campus and Distance Learning Courses.
The ITDC offers both pedagogical and technical expertise for faculty who want to use instructional technology in their classrooms.Faculty are invited to join the ITDC team as Content Experts and develop learning-centered interactive multimedia, tutorials, practices, simulations and other courseware.

Samples of types of instructional web activites available for you to use in your class. Can be customized for your use.
Open Educational Resources (OER) - Cross-disciplinary, instructional Web practices for student success. Team up with ITDC to create activities for your class.
Instructional Courseware - Multimedia Solutions for Instructional Challenges
Original interactive multimedia courseware programs integrated into the curricula of the college on campus and distance learning course offerings. LBCC instructors team up with the ITDC team and serve as Content Experts to develop the courseware.
